People say that they don't drink the water from their on board water tank or barrels so they don't bother sterilising them BUT it would be interesting to know just exactly how they clean their teeth. They must put water in their mouth at least so sterilising is important under any circumstance in my view. Anyway, I think that sterilising with Puriclean could be sufficient myself actually but I would tend to leave in soak over night to be on the safe side with probably just a bit stronger solution for peace of mind.

I did extensive research too and my philosophy is exactly the same as yours Chalkie 56. I avoid Milton now as well and use nothing except Puriclean as Milton contain a harsh chemical that can damage caravan water systems plus it doesn't detroy bio-film like Puriclean does.

Use Puriclean cause' it really does pay, to maintain your health and keep the bugs at bay!

I just had my Conway Cruiser serviced and the guy who did it treated the system with Truma Aquastar 3 cleaner which is £7.50 for ten sachets of which each treats 50L. This was the stuff he recomended and also backed up the don't use Milton as it is harmful to the internal components of the Truma water heaters. He also advised  that the use of Milton will invalidate any warranty claim with Truma and they can and do test for its presence on any claims.

If your water system is Truma based it kinda makes sense to use their own cleaner as it is designed for that job.
