hi i does anyone know where i can get a replacement window for my 2004 avondale argente 640/6 ? the overall size inc the trim is W 960 x H 570 and has a silver band all round.

on our way back from holiday i lost a side window! (well the outside part anyway) i double checked all windows where secure but what i have found is that the way they are made is very poor as they are coming apart where they are glued together as the catches are only fixed to the inner panel and not through both so they will go at the weakest point (the joint).

Does anyone else have the same problem??

If you have no luck trawling the recyclers you might want to try this one, no idea what they charge. Window.
When Avondale were in business I had a new one fitted on insurance the window came from the Netherlands the cost to them of supply and fix in those days was between £350 and £400. They couldn't match the tint but after a few months you couldn't tell which one had been replaced.

Hi there I am very very new to caravanning, our last caravan we had was over 35 years ago. We have just purchased a 2 berth 2001 British made eco 380,lightweight,
measures shipping length 4 meters, width 2 meters, height 2.5 meters, single axle.

I think we have been coned, the seller said it was their caravan, said it was built by a Blackpool company and they where only in business from 1997 to 2001. I can not find any information about this company or the make of the caravan.

I was just curious, as I found your do it yourself website and it had some very useful information on it, have you ever come across this make or heard of a company in Blackpool that built caravans. No documents supplied, any help would be appreciated, it is the age of the caravan I am trying to varify

Meant to add no CRIS number means van is pre 1992 is it possible to go back to the buyer. If it was his van any service record, insurance details, any proof of ownership and entitlement to sell - its not looking good.

Geoff48, no chassis no by door.

Only thing I can find is by the towing bracket on the chassis AL-KO Kober auflourfeinr, with a load of weights and other numbers, nothing saying CHIS number, or date that I can make out. The hitch bracket also has numbers on it, how do I find out what they mean?

Found an old thread Here which kind of agrees with your info. If you google JNC Eco 380 you should be able get images which will confirm if its your caravan, or not. I'd talk to CRIS about registering your caravan.

More digging reveals JNC were a company formed by 2 brothers John and Paul McDonald they used to work for Lunar caravans before forming their own short lived company. JNC are briefly mentioned in a book by Andrew Jenkinson published 2002 Title caravans "The illustrated History from 1960" you have a very rare caravan.

Hi Geoff, Thank you for the information very much appreciated, the photos that come up on my internet search bar one are the caravan I bought, the first one that comes up, I have never seen before, but it is the caravan I bought. How can I verify if it is a JNC, as I cannot find any plans or other photos to judge it by. If it is rare, and I bought it back to a high standard, how would I get it valued. I have added the link, not sure if it will work as non of the other caravans there look like the one I have. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwiBg........

I think from trawling the net there were only around 15 made, 5 were sold to Dave Barrons now themselves out of business. I doubt there's any money to be made on refurbing, if it was valuable there be a lot more on the internet. From your description it fits the bill as being a JNC. Without documentation its difficult to be absolutely sure. I'm sure you will have already searched all lockers and fittings to establish if the manufacture van be absolutely verified, but to me you can be reasonably confident that the van was as stated when sold to you. It baffles me that the van wasn't CRIS registered - a van of that date should have been. Registration should have been done by the manufacturer. I think I have gone as far as I can with this I would suggest you contact CRIS and register the van, they will help with the chassis number etc. It could also be that the windows have been replaced maybe a stolen recovered van. The number on the chassis you are looking for should begin with letters SG. Good Luck.
