Hi, I have recently resealed the one and a half sides of my awning rail on my 91 compass rallye. I took them off, cleaned everything with white spirit then again with methylated spirit. Then I bought some wide roll mastic wider than the whole rail inc. the rubber trims, rolled it on and screwed back on with 30mm stainless screws untill the mastic was squeezing out the sides then trimmed off with sharp knife.. Is this a suitable repair?

sound good to me but did you make sure that the new screws were coated well with sealant before you screwed them in to the awning rail
