I am havinging problems with the electrics when I first connect on my Hobby 690 . The trip switch on the outside post keeps going off after about 5 tries it will stay on. I have tried switching the electric off inside the van but when i switch on it goes off at the post outside. I would be grateful for any help .
Try turning off all the appliances off inside the caravan , then connect to the post and switch each appliance on until you find the one that trips the post . This probably isn't the most scientific way of doing things but you should be able to find the cause .
Do as Wizard has suggested,it should tell tell you if one of the appliances is faulty. As it stays on after several tries it sounds as though something is drying out with the fault current,Microwaves and ovens often cause nuisance tripping caused by condensation,or a leaky flange on a water heater.
The worrying thing about your situation is the fact that it's tripping the post, your trip in the van should go before the post as the hookup posts are normally time delayed to avoid such a situation,in any event I would ensure that your trip is working correctly.
