I have sprung blinds in my Elddis Cyclone and they keep losing the spring and hence they dont roll back up. How easy is it to repair and is there anywhere that shows you how to do this.
Hi i had the same problem its quite a easy fix, at the top left hand side of the blind frame is a tensioning screw it requires just srewing in a little the hardest problem i had there wasnt enough room to get a screw driver into the srew so i removed the whole frame and adjusted it. hope this helps cheers Stan
if it's the spring comming undone the only way to fix it would be to remove the bolind and reattach the spring to the screw adjuster i done is quite a few times the spring screws on to the adjuster screw i used super glue when the pring was on the adjuster... before you start get your self a long screwdriver I use a 12" one make removing the screws that hold the blind assembly to the van walls easy

Hi I have only done one ,but to tension the roller the screw on the left has to be pushed in then turn to tension and here is the awkward bit the you must allow the screw to come back out to lock the tension.Mine wasn't coming all the way out and after a while it lost its tension, but I managed with the cover off to get another screw driver inside and as i finished tensioning i pushed the screw back out to lock it.Just a little more info to try and help
I had a roller blind fail on me in my Bailey Senator and managed to fix it using the advice on this forum. The tensioning screw was on the right side of the blind.
When you put the van in storage or somewhere. close the curtains, leaving the blinds closed for long periods eg over the winter, will stretch the spring.
May be like shutting the stable door, but a lot of people appear not to know that you should not pull down spring blinds when travelling - it wrecks the springing. Hope you have been able to fix 'em!
Not sure if mine has a screw to tension, but i have removed some of them before and simply wound the spring by hand then re-assembled before it spins back round!!
