All sounds a reasonable idea, but to be honest I'm not entirely sure why you're keen to bother. Most folk who would want to use a fully serviced pitch will generally have the right kit to connect anyway. I use a mixture of standard and serviced pitches and keep a fill system in the van.
I wouldn't want to use a system that had been used by others as you'd have no idea how it had been maintained (from a hygiene point of view of that is, although I don't drink site water), a point parly covered already by Sylvrob ...
