Hi,can anyone tell me why the red light comes on and the heater fails to light.it did get flooded with a bad leak over the winter,but has been dried out for months now.when i manually light it it stays on until i put the oven on and then goes out.any help please

Hi Michael, I found how to strip the Carver heater, Ive had it apart, its just bolted together from the electric end, it has a small circuit board built in,it as an electric element going in at the top, but Im still no further, the over temp still as a circuit through it, so that as not blown, Ive not heard from Gary yet but left several messages,

Sorry not getting back sooner but struggled understanding the question?

What then I think is the flooding has damaged the electronics in the black box under the heaters tank, this being very common.
Part of the electronics detect the flame is lit and will shut the heater down and show the red light if it does not detect a flame. Usual problem is if the electronics are faulty they cannot detect the flame at all.
I really don't understand the cooker affecting it unless it's starving the water heater of gas?, this may then not allow enough of a flame for the electronics to detect? If this is the case, does the gas fire affect it or if all the hobs are switched on together?
