I noticed damp, soft wood around one of the roof vents on our 1990 challenger.
I have dried it out and sealed up the leak, my concern is that if I strip down the large section of the ceiling and replace, how am I going to match the wall paper ?
easiest one of all to fix. take roof vent off and clean then replace seals to outer section. where inner seal touches remove any seal with a stanley blade and ease away. inspect damaged area and renew timber frame if needed. should be 1" 0r 1.1/4" par timber. replace all parts with new screws if needed and paint ceiling.
wish I had a tenner for every roof vent repaired. opps I have had a tenner where is it all??

The issue I have is that there are 3 sections of ceiling. I'm only changing one and can't find the same pattern they originally fitted.
It is not wallpaper, ie stuck on afterwards, it is faced board, the surface peels off like wallpaper when it gets damp. A caravan shop might supply new board but I don't know if you will get a match.
