I bow to your superior knowledge all !
I fear that I may have gotten myself into a state of panic (being so new to caravanning and having invested a significant amount of cash)
Rightly or not (and I hope I do not upset anyone on this website) I got some advice from another forum that suggested that I check the cupboard door hinges. Guess what? I checked the hinges and lo and behold they where loose !! A quick session with the Phillips and all in the worls was good.
I sincerly apologise to all who took the time to respond to my post if I may have "over egged the pudding" but believe me, at the time I truly thought that I had broken my caravan. I assure you that all the advice that I have been given has been taken on board. The next time that an "expert" gives me some advice (such as levelling with the steadies) I will direct him (or her) to this great forum.
They say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. But I now think that a little knowledge coupled with bad advice from those who should know better is a lot worse.
I am not being bitter as I realise that the resonsibility was mine to ensure that I had all the correct info before making the step change between tent and caravan. However, I wish that those who offer advice would at least consider if they are worthy of the trust of a newbie (as this website has been)
I look forward to many years of happy caravanning now that I have found the support of the UK CAMPSITE(ers).
I only hope that one day, in the not to distant future, that I can help others as you have helped me
Cheers all.
