I have had an intermittent fault with the electric flush on the C2 Thetford toilet fitted in our van. I have already changed the pump and flushed out the top tank so when it happened again last trip it was bothering me. And decided it had to be the switch or electrics playing up rather than suspecting a second pump

Working from inside take off the cover cap on the flush knob and with a long pozi screwdriver remove the screw down inside the shaft and lift the knob up and out

Then working from outside pull off the white plastic cover

Undo the 4 poziscrews 2 at the front 2 at the back are a bit hard to get too.

Now drop down the grey plastic bit it has the flush wiring and switches in it.

Disconnect the 2 plugs and the unit is free

No need for any electrical tests here I can see the problem already

The fuse holder is so corroded it wont work. So and electrical repair to that and the whole lot can be refitted and job done!

I wish I had this same model. Mine seems to be a C2 LT - which must be like a C2 Left. Anyhow. My switch screws are not accessible via the tank removal door. Instead I have a stereo speaker in the other side that I can use for an access door. But working thru a 5 inch hole will be difficult.

Sorry to revive this golden oldie. I found this thread when I had the same problem. C2 not flushing. Fuse checked good, replaced pump with new one, but still no flush. I think it must be the switch but like the last post above my flush button is on the far end of the toilet rather than nice and close when youopen the outside door. Does anyone have any idea how to get to it to replace the switch when it's so far away?! thanks

Have you visited the 'Thetford Europe' website? Have a look at this link,, although the unit is no longer available the parts should be.

Download the Spare Parts list via the link part way down the first page, a set of exploded diagrams may give you a clue for your particular version.
