this bank holiday i decided to use the gas fire as the evening was abit cold,i have used the fire before with no problems be it a long time ago.
anyway i pressed down and turned the dial to the int point and then pressed fully down, you can hear the int process starting by the clicks, when the burner is alight i turn to dial to the lower position and then BANG !!!
what ever happened cause the flu thing :-) on the roof to blow off and wake up just about ever body on site.
there doesn't appear to be any damage to fire or roof however i have turned off the gas supply.
anyone tell me what caused this ? and also is it possible to clean the jets within this fire ?
thanks
jay
