We've just returned from three weeks away touring down as far as Italy.  Our Thetford N80EL had a known fault and needed a new thermocoupler as it wouldn't stay lit.  When the engineer came to fit it he found that the fridge had fallen back in the cabinet and was at an angle.  He's refitted it but we have a piece of exhaust/flue missing.  He told us to get the missing piece and showed us how to refit the exhaust/flue through the vent.

Our caravan is a 2003 model and Thetford no longer supply the three part flue but have changed to a one part exhaust.  The long version looks like this:

Has anybody else replaced their three part flue with this new one part flue?  I don't fancy paying £45 call out for the engineer to do it when it will probably take 2 minutes!

I've got the fridge installation manual and it shows the flue on fig 9 , if that's any help , send me a email ( link below ) and i'll email it to you .
To fit the tube you will need to gain access from the outside upper vent , some vents have a 1/4 turn white plastic screw that will allow you to remove the vent grill , other than that you may need to remove the vent all together , so you can fit the pipe .
In the picture you can see to the left where the 1/4 turn screw locks in .

Thanks for the advice.  I think our issue is more about how to replace the actual flue.  Currently we have a metal plate with a hole in it and a metal tube shaped like a T.  This slots over the outlet on the fridge and there should be a pipe joining them in between.  It's the pipe that is missing,  The new part is all in one and comes with a clip but we don't know where the clip goes or whether we need the long or short version.  We have a call in with Swift to tell us the size we need but as yet haven't heard back from them.

Any help appreciated.

The clip i would have thought is used to hold the new flue to the upright tube on the back of your fridge , the manual i have shows you how to position the flue pipe and gives position dimentions , it shows the new type in the picture you posted .
