Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can give any advise.

Last week while on holiday the front floor was pushed up on the front adjustable legs.

I feel no damp, it isn't wet/moist at all, and no visible signs of damp, just think the damage has been done by adjusting the legs.

I am thinking of 'sandwiching' the floor with 3mm aluminium plates to strengthen it and repair... would this work?

I would be grateful of any advise please.

The legs or steadies as they are called are just that,they steady the van and are not meant to level it or prop it up.If youve damaged the floor using what youve suggested may help.

you are lucky in one respect the floor has give way and can be repaired.overdoing the leg winding can lead to a twisted chassis.a thin metal plate each side of the floor and bolted through would help.

Just done the repair over last 2 days, very very pleased with the result, very strong, the van is back to itself

I'll be going steady on the steadies from now on.
