At night in our Avondale Rialto we always close the Remis fly screen and blind on the side windows of the caravan to reduce the gap between the blind and the wall, however their is still a 5mm gap between the blind and the fly screen that lets light in.

For some time I have been looking for the brush material that is fitted to the fly screen as I want to slide the same brush into the blind to block all the light coming in from the side windows.

Remis are impossible to get hold of and someone may well make the brush for them, the brush is not marked anywhere along its length with a manufacturer.

Anyone any ideas where I could purchase a few meters of this?

Steve.

we have this trouble when the grandchild was 3 years old,all along the rear blind light would filter through at the base and wake him up.i solved it with a length of foam pipe lagging.this just slots on when required and fills the gap.

Thanks, guess that would work but I am after something a little more permanent and aestheticly pleasing.

Well I have tried my best with Remis, but this is all I have got.......

Now I know that you have a REMIflair I. So, now it is clear, because this system only has a brush on the flyscreen. So all is fine. Best regards, Marion

I then explained again why I am after "spare" brush sections for the blinds and received this......

As mentioned before, we only sell to manufacturers and big retailers.
I cannot give you the name of our supplier, and I am sure you will understand this.
The system is as it was supposed to be.
Best regards, Marion

So I have sent this reply, but expect to get no further....

I am very disappointed that this is your final response.

I could understand not issuing the supplier name if I was after all the component parts of your blinds to go into competition however I am essentially trying to fix a design flaw where the blackout blinds don't black out and let light through underneath.

I will have to keep looking for the brush material and use pipe insulation that has been suggested by others to make the blinds usable in the summer months.

Thank you for taking time to read and reply to my emails even though I have moved no further forward in fixing the issue.

Steve.

Good luck trying to find one we're trying to find a replacement brush for the Remis door screen and for the last four months have had none!   Must say Remis must be up for the award of most unhelpful company though

I thought I would try again as its been 12 months since my last attempt.....

*****

I am trying to find someone in the UK who can supply the grey sealing brushes located on the bottom of REMIflairI fly screens in my caravan.

So far no one had been able to help with the brush, only parts like the end caps etc are redly available.

Regards,
Steve.

But I have only received this reply

*****

Dear Steven,

As mentioned before, we only sell to manufacturers and big retailers.
Please find attached the list of our retailer.
They can surely help you.

Best regards,
Marion

*****

So I am going to try all the retailers on the list and will let the forum know if I have any success, although I am expecting to bang my head against the wall again.

If a retailer sold this by the meter even though in reality it probably cost pence I would personally happily pay £2 per meter just to fix the design flaw with the light entering between the fly screen and the black out blind!
