hello ,i have a 1994 elddis with a fridge rm4206 electrolux vents on the outside, it works on 12v ,gas and 240 v ,in the outside vent compartment the metal piece that joins to the vent came undone and i noticed a steel type wire with a loop and wonder what purpose this serves before i reconnect ?
Hi is it a long wire rod with twist tin on the bottom. If so it needs to be in to make flame heat spin inside ok flu pipe so the heat makes fridge freeze. Hope this helps Bg
hi bg, i only noticed when the piece connected to the inside of vent came undone ,and i seen this rod top end that sits inside the pipe and has a loop at the top, the screw must of come loose while traveling it seem to be connected to something the piece from the vent sits over it and is held with screw
The loop is what you can pull the twist baffel out with when serviceing the fridge. It is a long bit of wire with loop one end and baffle on the bottom. the baffle sits just above the pilot flame so some times gets sooty so when serviceing fridge they pull the loop up to clean baffle and small flu brush the flu. It is not held in just push down tube and thats where it sits Hope this helps
