I've read previous forums on this and tried to solve the issue but it still persists.
The water pump is drawing water when the taps are turned off. The led light is on too. When I disconnect the spade switches from beneath the bathroom basin the problem stops.
I have replaced the micro switch on the bathroom tap but the problem is back again when I connect the spades once more.
I have looked at the wiring as far as I can but see no short in the wires.
To set the pressure switch turn it fully clockwise home, open a tap near by fully.turn the pressure switch very slowly anti clockwise until you have a good flow and the switch has just started clicking.turn tap off and the clicking should stop.if not have another go.
It's not likely to have a pressure switch as the pump system will be switched by tap switches only (ie., not pressurised).
Have you anyway you can rig up a multimeter (set to continuity) to check the new switch is working properly? You should obviously get continuity across the switch terminals when the tap is open only. It's possible the actual tap is worn/broken and the cam that actuates the switch isn't functioning, hence switch might be permanently closed.
It could be any of the micro switches they are in series.
by pulling the wires off the bathroom tap one it simply breaks the circuit to all the others.the only way is to check each switch with test meter
The kitchen tap still works and the shower still works when the bathroom one is disconnected.
The wires feeding the tap still show as live even when its not connected the the tap.
The problem seemed to occur when my partner 'fixed' the leaking tap on the basin. He thought he had partially cut throught the wire when replacing the system, hence buying a new micro switch.
Now we have the tap disconnected due to the pulling of water constantly.
Update. After my partner has read the replies, he has checked the micro switches and it would seem the basin one was in the wrong way..............mmm.
I know this is an old post but I had a similar issue. Had 'van for a while and it's been fine. Went away and set up as normal, everything fine then later in day noticed the pump was on constantly.
Checked the switches and stuff (notes and advice from this forum) but no joy. Got van back and looked into it and found that whoever installed the sink tap had trapped the wires and over time (a long time!) the tap clamp had gone through the insulation. Here's a pic.
So, point to make is you can't always just unplug the cables/switches and a meter to see if power is on/off may not help, ie switch is off but power is on might indicate a duff microswitch. Hope this helps.
