Well 2 weeks till we go away and i decided that i should have the wheels off the van to check the brakes as we have only had it about 2 1/2 months.....went and collected van from storage and when we opened the door i could smell damp....seems to be coming from the rail as there is a few bubbles in the rear corner. Check round the rail and there was a few iffy looking bit's so decided to take the rail off, what a yakky horrible job. From looking at the wizards site i got some white spirit on the job after i had got as much of the mastic off as i could but the spirit does not seem to do much to the mastic.   One of them things that i really wish i did not have to do ether.   Anyway just been looking on the net for other ways to remove mastic and came across this SEALANT REMOVER and wondered if any one had tried it on mastic?

Hi never tried sealant remover if i was you i would try rubbing some on the roof to see if it attacks the paint . On our last van i used Meths to clean old mastic off , as Meths evaporates it won"t affect the new mastic...................

   Good Luck.........Phil....

Got a bottle this morning and have tried it out on the mastic and it does make life easier. All mastic is gone now and i will rebuild it tomorrow and hopefully that will stop it getting any worse.
