I have just purchased a Swift (2000) 2 berth Celeste. The AKs 2004 stabiliser fitted. This does not appear to be working properly. I started to look at changing the friction pads, but got frightened by the procedure. Saw an Alko 1300 on e-bay (2nd hand) which covered the weight of my caravan (1210Kg). However it states not for use on Alko chassis with overrun facility, Not sure what this is.
Question, can I replace an Alko 2004 with an Alko 1300 and is it easy to do, are there any complications
Thank Toz
If you consider that changing friction pads in aks 2004 is frightening after reading instructions do not even contemplate changing a complete hitch as it is safety critical
I agree, when I read the inststructions for the 3004 I found them very difficult to follow, however when I actually got started on thr job it was very quick and straightforward.
