Hi All,

I want to use some SMOOTH BORE flexi hose for the waste water on our caravan to the drain on a fully serviced pitch. I have seen the 32mm type that is used for ponds etc can anyone advise if they have used this at all and if so will it fit straight onto the waste connector on the caravan or does it need adapting. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers

I couldn't comment on the flexible hose, but we use the normal domestic rigid pipe which fits onto our waste outlets perfectly and into the wastehog via a couple of bends and a T junction bought in B&Q, similar to this but I discovered that the white pipe can also be used for the short horizontal lengths to the van which are the grey bits in the above link. There are 2 sizes in domestic waste pipes and fitting, the smaller of the 2 does the job perfectly.

Hi Ellers,

Thanks for the reply, yes I have already got this set up to fit our waste master but wanted to use flexi hose this time as on a fully serviced pitch you can go straight into the drain so no need for waste master, the only thing is the drain can be a few meters away so was going to use smooth bore for better water flow.

We bought 2 x 3 metre lengths of the normal white domestic stuff, a few straight joins and a few bends.

OH cut the pipes into 2 x 1.5m, and 3 x 1m, that way we can join them up to give the length and direction we need.

He also made some wooden pegs to tie the pipe to, stops any sagging and holds it in place firmly.
