Hi our 1994 van is looking a bit worse for wear on the outside - what can people recommend to make it look better? We need advise not ony on cleaners but paint too as the green/cream look isnt doing it for us!

I would stick to some polish and elbow grease .It looks good in your gallery images. Its mostly other people that look at the outside and if they dont like it who cares!

i have a fredom sunseeker made if fibre glass and that was looking a bit dull, tried all the cleaning brands and car polish even rubbing compound but best thing was vim you can still get it from wilkinsons about 0.60pence apply it with a damp cloth and all the grime is gone, i am sure it would work on any syrface

I was quizzing the valeter (is that a word?) at Venture Caravans (Daventry) just this afternoon - 'What's the best thing to bring the shine back?'

'Autoglym - once a year' The rest of the time, just water and soap. Apparently the Autoglym Resin brings back the shine to that matt-surface which is caused by the sun's rays.

DON'T use T-Cut or such like - it's too powerful.

His words, not mine.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

The paint is too thin to use T cut, use it on the windows if their plastic.Use a car wash wax as using other soaps like washing up liquid will degrease and take waxes like auto glym off.
