Hi .I have just recently bought a bailey series 5 caravan and found the flush does not work. Its a push button flush with a small light indicator at the side of it which should tell me when its in need of emptying.although I havent used it because of the flush I assume its on the same connection.I checked the fuse which is outside in the cassette compartment but thats as far as i can see.Does anyone know how I can repair this I would be very grateful.
see here find your toilet model and see repairs section.possible pump has split at the base(ask for free replacement as its a common fault now modfied) / pipe has come off inside / internal reed switch (think thats what it called) dirty or corroded / push switch faulty.fuse holder corroded.main 12v fuse faulty.if its stood for some time the van the pump can become stuck in one possition.soak overnight in milton and water and try again.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
hi just got back from the caravan and managed to strip the pump out of the toilet, before I took it right out I held the pump in my hand and pressed the the flush button. I could feel a sort of click in the pump ,does that tell me its broken I cant see anything else wrong, fuses are good, water for flush is full, now I got the pump home is there anyway i can test it or is it easier to buy another. As the van is sited along way from home I need to find out as much info as I can so I can try it all out on next visit.

try and turn the propellor at the bottom of the pump sounds like its seized up a bit [probably through being stood] force it round with a screwdriver then press your button
if you have a 12v battery spare, connect a wire to each side.touch the pump each side and it should run.if not it has seized or burnt out.as i said soak it in milton or bleach overnight to rid it of the scum build up.then test.
