Hi There

We have a 2006 Sprite Major6 and found on holiday in France this year the front window leaking at the top.

On investigation the front window seal (it is a large, single window) looks all fine but I found the window glass is not actually touching the seal at one point at the top, i.e. just where the water is coming in.

I could even slide a finger in the gap for about 6 inches along the top of the window between the seal but it is sealing fine everywhere else on the seal around the window.

I seem to recall stacks of issues with the large windows, could it be the window has warped to some degree at that point??? Possibly in the heat??? I'm not convinced a new seal with do the trick as it looks fine and perfectly straight accross the top of the window but guess it could be a local problem.

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated as I work out next steps!.

Chris

Open the window right up & spray all around the rubber seal with silicone spray(a non oil based lubricant for rubber & plastics). Find it on the shelf at Halfords with the WD40 cans etc. This should soften & plump out the rubber a bit & may do the trick. It is a good idea to treat caravan window seals thus, twice a yr.

Had a similar problem on the rear window of our motorhome. Had to have the window seal replaced (done under guarantee)
