Hi

I have 3 of these roof lights in my van, and without exception, every single support arm (arrowed) is broken! Can anyone identify the manufacturer or have an idea where I can source replacement parts?

Thanks in anticipation!!

Tom

Thanks for that Michael.

It would however be a shame to scrap 3 otherwise perfect roof lights for the sake of a few plastic arms! I can't find them anywhere though

If I have to change them I'd probably go for 2 of the Mini-Hekis in the main living area and use the 2 remaining good legs to repair the bathroom rooflight...

Your photo does look like an older style rooflight bracket that has now been updated. I tend to agree that you may need to opt for new Mini Heki's to replace and fix the final odd one, but only other option might be to find some from a breakers.

Depending on size, found these here, which will be possibly a more affordable option than the Mini Heki though.

Both handles on the roof light in my van are broken and I was told by the dealers that I would have to buy the whole thing, you can't get just the handles.

Mine was the same  - I had to replace the whole thing.

Cost me £46 off ebay and really easy to replace. A 400 by 400 MPK complete with flyscreen and blind.

Just make sure that you get some Butyl Tape for sealing it on the top of the van.  I got that off ebay for £5 including P + P

Do not use silicone for sealing it though.

Took about half hour to replace.

We never done one before either!

These roof vents were made by 'Hartal' which are 40 x 40 cms. However, they are quite difficult to obtain now as I needed two replacements myself due both being broken but as the caravan was under warranty they were replaced with two different style units. Some companies still have surplus stock but it's finding them is the problem but you do have to replace the whole unit as the handles are not removable. This is the type you need.

Once you have the parts resealing a rooflight may give you some pointers on doing the job.
