We have just arrived on the CC site at Killin, and our Truma TE, which was working fine only 3 hours ago, refuses to do anything. The relays are not operating it seems. The drive rollers will not engage.
The remote batteries are fine, the caravan battery is fine, the 20A fuse is fine.
The instructions are not helpful regarding fault-finding.
Have spoken to dealer, they think possibly poor connection to one motor or one motor stuck. OH has found that the nearside motor does not go at all when power is put straight onto it.
They have suggested checking the connections on the motor, OH has been under van to look, but the motor is completely enclosed and he is not sure how to access it.
We do have an extended warranty so an eventual fix is not a problem.
The immediate problem is that when we get home on Sunday there will be no way to get the van off the street as it has to go onto the driveway drawbar first using the Mover, it cannot be towed on.
The drawbar has to go a short way up the path beside the house for the van to clear the pavement, so reversing it onto the drive is no use either.
I suppose one night on the street hitched to the car will be OK, it is not a busy street.
when one motor stopped working on mine it was the contact directly under and plugged into the cable itself as it entered the motor assembly dirty/corroded,just cleaned and refitted and was ok.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Yes, OH reckons that is the one our dealer suggested he check, but as far as he can see, the cable goes through a rubber thingy straight into the casing and he cannot access the connection.
Can you not get an engineer to call at the site Jennifer? and how do you find the Truma generally? we have Pwrtouch, but met soeone with a Truma who said it was the bee's knees of movers.

I have the te movers, is the 7-pin plug from the caravan been plugged into safety socket.can you try and see if your movers rotates forwards and rotates in reverse, before you try operate the swivel drive rollers in and out.
Hi jennifernn, Sorry to hear about your Truma mover problem. How did you manage to get your van sited when you got home? I've have got the same problem with my Truma S single axle model which was also awkward when we got home on Monday as my mover packed-up on the last site at Winchester while reversing (RH side) up a slope. I switched off the remote and then switched it on again but the remote kept bleeping and there was no engaging 'clump.' I tried resetting the handset but still don't get the movers engaging even though the control box is flashing fast in response to the handset. I think my offside (RH) motor MIGHT be the problem but don,t know a safe way to test it.
