Hi everybody, its been a while since I needed all your help but here I am again in need of some ideas on what to do for the best. I have a Golden Crown 14/2 manufactured by Elddis in 1995, its in original condition and we love the thing, however, I have a problem, the windows are held in the hinge plates by a rubber U type section, the problem is the rubber has perished and on a warm day if open the windows drop out of the hinge plate which is a bit of a pain.
I have looked on the internet and found one company that produce rubber mouldings but they do not exactly have what is fitted, Elddis are unable to help, has anybody got any ideas what I can do without glueing them in which is not the road I really want to take.
Hi Michael and thank you for the info, I have looked at the link you gave me and sealsdirect seem very similar to the C.O Bailey seals that I have looked at, there was however one seal extrusion that might be worth a look at, I have asked seals direct if they would send me a sample, failing that I do not know where I am going to get something that would do the job, I had hoped that Elddis would come up trumps but they were just not interested and advised they do not deal direct with the public, just typical...........
