I have had a Cover for a few years now. Its great when spring comes around to take the cover off and a lovely clean van stands there. But the cover needs to be breathable.

Weve used one for the last two years, Its great, Try riversway leisure, they do a 3 layer cover at a very reasonable price.

I have a riversway cover and it is great!  Breathable and easy to put on. Good value and saves pounds on storage fees.

We recently bought a ProTec for exactly the reasons OP states, expensive I know. but cannot fault product or their service. Recommended by Bailey Caravans for all year round use. (See you have a Bailey)  Bought direct from ProTec, you automatically qualify for 10% discount if you are a member of CC, C&CC or an Owners Club.

Decided on ProTec over the (equally expensive) Specialised as our previous Specialised cover was not recommend for all year round and also needed fabric covers on windows.

With regard to the rest, mostly they are only 'breathable' on the sides not the roof, which is stated as 'waterproof'.

Also had a look round other covered vans at the farm where we store ours, and compared to the ProTec & Specialsed, all the cheaper ones seemed a very poor fit in comparison.

My van tells me specifically not to use a cover, but it is now stored under an oak tree, they are terrible for sap (you only need to look at the van next door)....

I have thought about a breathable cover, but simply cannot justify the cost.

Looks like it's going to be good old fashioned elbow grease in the spring for me.

Matty79, you can always use Fenwicks Winterising liquid if you can't cover. I believe it provides a good protection and makes the van easier to clean after the Winter.
