http://www.sasproducts.com/
this is just for information for people who don't know.
I was told that if you lost your key for the SAS wheel clamp you would have to drill the lock out and replace it.
Spoke to the lady ( Deborah )at SAS and she explained how to get lock out without drilling. She said drilling out lock could be hard work.
All you do is place a piece of wood on the rear bar that slides through to the lock end and hit it until it knocks the lock out of the front. Simples.
The wood is to protect the bar.
i also placed 2 spars either side of the lock to protect the clamp and allow the lock to drop out easier.
hope this helps.

Not worth buying if it's that easy to remove.

No. I don't seem to have explained this very well.but here goes again.
It is impossible to get the lock out when clamp is fitted to the caravan because the bar you need to hit is behind the wheel and you cannot get at it to hit it.
You can only get the lock out if the wheel clamp isn't fitted to the caravan.
I'm sorry but if the wheel clamp is fitted it is a drilling out job.
The clamp is designed to help you if the clamp is not fitted to your caravan when you lose the key.
I thought it was nice of SAS to tell me how to get the lock out without taking to someone to drill it out.
hope i have explained it better this time.
The SAS wheelclamp is still a quality clamp. All i have to do now is send for my new lock and i've got my new clamp back.

The SAS wheelclamp is the best i've had.
One side fits onto wheel nut. The other goes round back of wheel. Allen key tightens back bar into wheel. Insert lock, turn key and Bobs your Auntie.
The other one is a bit of a nightmare.
3 bars that go over and round the wheel that you have to juggle to fit into a plate that hangs on front of wheel. Then you have another plate that slides down over the plate and bars. (Have you gone to sleep yet?). the a lock barrel that slides into front plate locking both plates together. Simples.
Needless to say I'll be using this one as well as the Sas.

PS. It's the experiences of the lads n lasses on this site that have encouraged me to get my act together and start using the clamps.
My missus is always saying anyone could drive onto a site and just couple up and drive off.
The people you meet on sites are not always there to watch over your caravan while you are out.
Those extra 10 mins could save you months of heart ache.
Ill also be watching out for another SAS wheelclamp while on my travels..
