Hi all
Been a while but wondered if Gary at arc or anyone could help. I've been looking after my parents caravan over the closed season. They have told me there's a problem with their heater so I thought I'd take a look for them.

It doesn't seem to have any 240v heat through the element even though the switch on the control panel is lit.

There is no fan function and the fan master control panel flashes orange rapidly then slows to a pulsing flash (which I think is a fault code)

The reset button at the rear of the heater has been used and now does nothing when pressed. Which I think is a one time switch.

Gas is working and a decent blue flame is seen through the viewing window.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a replacement reset switch but not sure what else I need to do in order to get it all working?

Any help would be very much appreciated

Hi, I'm Gary will be on here to give you a comprehensive breakdown of the fault, but from your discription depnding on the age of the unit i would say there's a fault with 12v motor and in turn this has overloaded the board. If that's the case then both parts will need replacing.

Hi I'm Gary? no your not!

Clue is Carver 3000 gas fire, this makes it early 95, by mid 95 it would have been the 3600 and the fanmaster would have had a reset switch. As it is it has a 'one shot' thermal fuse and once blown needs replacement

However on the rest George is perfectly correct, it's old and worn so it overheated and that's why the fuse blew.

Solution is to repair/replace the control board and fit a new fan motor. I do this as part of a full overhaul and then give it a 12 month warranty.
