We also have a Trumatic SL3002. What a great heater! However, the sparker was getting slow so I replaced the batteries. Now the orange light comes on, but there is no spark, and the furnace doesn't work now.
The batteries were brand new from the box. The connection seems ok (I am assuming the light wouldn't go on if it was broken). Before I start taking things apart, I am wondering if anyone has had a similar problem!
Yes, new batteries fitted no spark, took it to local caravan technician, was igniter at fault. Cost 250quid to replace, as alot of labour involved in re wiring the new part in. That was just my experience mind, not to say its what is at fault with ypurs.
Did the gas flow when your igniter was broken? I can't smell any gas either outside or underneath the trailer. Just the orange light silently coming on, and no spark, no gas.
I was thinking it might be the igniter too. It just gradually slowed down over time. If it's not the batteries, what else is there?
It's a wonderfully simple furnace, I see 3 parts that actually do something. But it's almost impossible to easily access them!
It's winter time now and the trailer is coming into the garage so I guess I have a few months to figure it out.
Parts are hard to get here too in Canada for a 37 year old German trailer. A working furnace is a must though!
Thanks again for letting me know about your igniter experience.

How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
