I am in need of getting a new battery for my ELDDIS AVENTE 624. Any suggestion on what AMP battery would be BEST. The battery box would fit 13 & a half inches. We fitted the one out of our old van which was much smaller & now its died a death.
Hi Harry, and welcome to the forum. I have a mover fitted, and use an 85 amp battery, and have found it to be ideal. However, if you intend to do rallies or CL type sites you might be better off with a 110 amp, although they are considerably heavier than the 85 amp, more costly, and you would need to ensure that your battery-box is capable of taking it's size.
Firstly, welcome to the forum. Regarding the battery, it depends on how much power you are going to consume ie. motor mover, electric 12 volt flush toilet etc. If you have both of these then a 110 ah may be best, if not and you have a manual flush toilet and no mover then you could settle for an 85 ah battery. If you use the caravan for several days without electric hook up then this is something else to you need to consider as well. The bigger the battery the more power you have in stock.
Hi harry6969 if you look on ebay and contact Alfa batteries at Rochdale you will get a 110amp for the same price aas an 85amp and they have next day delivery in UK.Ian
