We are in the process of repairing the damp in the front & sides of our Fleetwood Colchester 1300-2 1993. We knew we had a leak at the front but didn't realise just how bad it was until we took the seats out and started taking the wallboards off. The front of the right hand side wallboard was spongy so we knew that wasn't good, but when we removed it we found the wooden joists were also wet from the corner to about half way along the side window.

We thought the left hand side was ok as the wallboard was hard, but when we removed the panelling from around the windows at the front we notice the beginning of the joist heading down the left side was also damp. We removed the wallboard and found that it was wet at the back of it, as was the joist.

We have now removed all the damp/rotten joist and I have today removed all the polystyrene that was although dry at the front was soaking wet at the back where it joins the caravan frame.
We are now in the position to start replacing the wood and polystyrene that's been removed, however we are unsure what we should use to stick the polystyrene to the wall and then the wallboad to the polystyrene, can anyone help please?

We are also considering changing the layout to an L shaped seating style if this gives us more floor space (as we are planning on taking our dog with us this season) however this would mean obviously cutting one of the seats down, so we would need to find (a cheap) upholsterer to do the necessary repairs to the seats.

Hi, cant help you with the upholstery, but I have just done some extensive repairs to my fleetwood sieve.

You need to use a grab adhesive that is solvent free so that it does not melt the polystyrene. I used gripfill solvent free from screwfix in the yellow tube  for about £3.50 a tube, or no more nails is also solvent free.

Mine has now fully cured and has stuck like S to a B

Good luck Keith............
