Well really you need a kind of caravan cleaner to remove the algea that builds up which you don't get on a car. I always use Fenwick's caravan cleaner.
I've tried loads of products but found Grease lightening "showroom shine" to be the best product on the market. For both car and caravan. I swear by it.

Hi all, We have just bought our first caravan and it has a green roof at the moment. I know not to use a pressure hose on it as it can damage seals but I was wondering if there was something special to use on the green bits? Thanks
I just use turtlewax shampoo and white colour magic polish (one coat) and the other coats just a clear general purpose polish (i.e Mer) and Silky on the black streaks when washing.
