Hi there,
I have a 2002 Bailey pageant where the front sticker saying pageant, is very faded... so have just managed to source a new Pageant decal from Ebay ....
The question I wondered if any of you could help with, is the original decal is still very much insitu and although its faded, doesnt look like it will be easy to remove....
Does anyone have any suggestions for removing old ones? Just conscious that its in a delicate area and I dont want to rub too hard :-)
As above, then once removed use a small bit of WD40 that will help clean up any excess residue. Give the area a good wash to finally clean up and let it air-dry before applying your new decal.
Ah righty, you might struggle a bit with no electric, but try the few suggestions above to soften up the old one first.
One tip when removing, try not to pull the old transfer away at right angles to the bodywork as this is more likely to cause the old one to tear and become more stubborn to peel off. Instead, once you've worked a section away enough to grab, pull it back against the body of the van i.e., folded back on itself.
I am pleased to say that i boiled a kettle and popped the water into a flask, poured this over the old decals and hey presto - it peeled off so well and didnt leave any glue at all.
The new Pageant decal is now in place and I am chuffed as it makes such a difference to the front of the van.
