I have an Avondale Dart 2005. Having problems with with the gas. It seems that the gas is not coming through the regulator hose when I try it just fitted direct to the Butane bottle, but through the adapter it comes through fine. Can these hoses be a problem on their own or does it have to be something to do with the Clesse regulator itself on the bulkhead? Any advice would be most welcome. Kindest regards, Phil
I'm guessing the hose you're talking about is the pigtail hose, on the high pressure side of things. The pressures involved in gas cylinders are unlikely to be blocked by a dodgy hose.
Just to be sure, check the dates stamped on your flexi-hoses, they should be no more than 5 years old (the stamped date on them is a manufacturing date). If they are braided hoses this date will be stamped on the end connections.
Sadly, it sounds like your regulator is at fault here. Sometimes these are mounted too low (below the top of the bottle) which can lead to impurities & debris getting out of the bottle & causing premature regulator failure. If possible the new bulkhead regulator should be mounted above the height of the bottles.
