Hi,just found little bit of damp at the top of my thetford wc wear the inlet has been leaking.I am trying to find instructions on how to remove the wc and then dry it out ,looked at the projects page no signs of anybody doing this. Can any body help. Thanks
If you go on Thetfords website, they have the installation manuals for every toilet in Pdf format, might give you an idea if you reverse the process.....
Hi,had a look on the above site and they are very basic installation instructions not showing where the wc is fix to the wall and floor .Found a few set of screws but when i have removed them the wc still fixed solid.Must have some hidden screws somewhere holding it in place.
There are some screws in the cassette compartment which are extremely difficult to see and to remove. Can't precisely remember where they are but I had to use mirrors and torches, and wished I had a 9" high mechanic with me. Also had to remove many of the bathroom cupboards as well. IIRC stubby screwdivers are required. I just kept removing screws until I got some movement, then you can determine where the rest are.
The irony for me was that I took mine out to replace the pump - only to find that I could access the pump from the loo-roll holder without even using a screwdriver ...doh...
If its the swivel type you need to take the filler housing on the van off (4 screws) then i thin there are 4 fiddly screws in the cassette compartment then it should just wiggle out.
I did my 1st one a few weeks back and it was a doddle.
