Hi All - Hope you can Help!

We've got a problem with the auto spark ignition on our country leisure cooker , It doesn't seem to spark any more!

Now I've tried to track down the fault myself, looking for a battery that might need replacing or a 12v connection that is missing, but don't seem to be able to take the cooker to bits..

It works ok when we light it manually with a match, but would like to get the ignition working.


Any help is greatly received..

Our Van is a 2003 Bailey Senator Oklahoma and the cooker is a Country Leisure Argent.

Hi Ian,i have the senator dont know if same cooker but,its one of those pizzo things that ignite mine.I found once,if its "clicking"the small igniter rod needed a rub with sand paper to make a spark to the gas outlets also.if they have been removed for cleaning they sometimes dont sit right and the spark wont jump.hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply..

Mine doesn't even make the "clicking" sound so I suspect its a power supply issue...

I'll check the igniter rods though and clean just to be sure.. You never know!
