I have bought our first caravan recently its a swift conqueror 640 LUX 2001 model. I bought it from a friend who has upgraded to a new caravan, so he had to take his water connection cable for his new van. I have bought the same one as he had which is a whale aquasource mains kit (the van is on a super pitch).
On the website I bought the cable off, it states that this cable can be used to have a constant supply of water to the caravan and the mains tap can be left on while it is connected tot he van, but when I leave the tap on after the internal water tank is full, the pump still runs and the water comes out of the waste. Is this normal, is this the caravan being faulty or is this the design as its an older caravan?
Any help will be appreciated so I don't have to keep turning the mains tap on and off for a constant supply of water into the van
On my van when using the direct water feed the water pressure is used to move the water within the caravan and I have to turn off the flow to the pump at an isolation switch. Suggest you check with your friend if you need to do similar.
I will check out swift talk to see if anyone has had this problem before, thanks for the help so far. I'm new to caravans and havent really got a clue about them!
That's what I was thinking, that something is not working on the caravan but I really don't know where to start looking!
I was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction
