Hi all, can anyone tell me how to remove the 12v spotlight bulbs inside our bailey ranger 550/6? Cant work out if you twist or push or quite what to do! No joy in the manual either.
thanks!
fiona
the lens has 4 little square lugs ,if you look carefully you see them.these are slotted into groves in the outer metal case.the trick is to gently push on two of the lugs at the same time until it bends slightly and the two lugs come out.the lens/shade will fall away.as said great care as the lugs do break odd times. the bulbs are a straight push fit.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Please dont buy cheap replacements off ebay, they dont take well to rough handling (ie bouncing about in a caravan)
Id think about looking into some LED replacements, even if you dont use you van off hook up, they won't need replacing again.
and warm white ones do exist now, so no need to have the stark "LED" white of old.
yes, they do have to be inserted with the correct polarity or nothing lights up because they are semiconductor diodes, however you won't damage them immediatly if at the first attempt its the wrong way round. They are about the same size as a G4 bulb, not quite as bright and these are warm white rather than some of the bluey white ones around.
They are cheap but well constructed as they come from Hong Kong, they usually take between one week to two weeks but they were free delivery.
whislt I have not had any G4 lamps I can recommend this HK seller
I have bought roughly 80 or so LED lamps from this seller over the last 2 years, the postage is a little slow, but the lamps are all still running, the oldest are some GU10s in the kitchen that are on ALOT.
only had one DOA, replaced with no problem.
He has 2W G4s in, they should be around the same as a 15-20W halogen (working on, in general a 4W=35W & 6W=40W 7W=50W)
If anyone spots some cool white mini GU10s, let me know (goddam stupid decorative fittings)
