Hi all,

whilst we were away recently in our van (1995 abbey chours), I switched on the toilet light it half came on made a fuzzing noise then went off. The next day I swopped the bulb for the one above the kitchen sink as I was nowhere a spare shop. But it still didn't work! you can clearly see that the original buld had blown because there's a black ring on the inside of the glass. So my next step was to put the second bulb back int the kitchen light to try it but that doesn't work either. All fuses have been checked and are ok, are both the lights linked and is it possible that both units are blown?

Whats the best way to test unit? I would assume using a multimeter on to the soldered connections in the back of the unit? What voltage should I be seeing? And does it need to have a 240v mains feed?
