how can i remove black lichen like material from fibre glass roof of caravan without scratching

Try spraying with wd40 and let it soak in.

Have a look at the boat washing and cleaning products from http://www.farecla.com/#/6

They have specialised cleaners fro removing difficult stains from fibre glass boat hulls like waterline stains which must be similar bacterial stains, or worse, as you are experiencing.

try MUC-OFF just started using it and stunned ,dampen dirty surface ,spray on muc-off and wash /wipe /or brush off

Use a cleaner that's formulated for boat fibreglass and follow it up either with a good quality boat wax containing carnauba wax, or use a glaze to provide year-long protection. There's loads of information at http://www.boatsheen.com

I see everybody is sticking carnauba wax into everything now its been in my favorite wax for years.

We park our 22ft trailer under an Ash tree, and we have to clean the roof fairly regularly.

We wait until it has been raining, then get up there with a soft broom and it normally washes away without too much trouble.

Removing it dry can be a problem, try a good soaking with a water spray first.
