problem ive got is ,although i have turned everything of in the caravan,something seems to be using the power in my battery

It's going to depend on the van your have got. On our Bailey the master switch kills all the power including the aerial booster etc, but from previous postings on this forum it would seem that this is not the case on all vans.

novarstar - It may help if you let us know what van you have got.

Could be booster but they only draw about 55mA. Alarm back-up possibly? What model van do you have to help give an idea.
Alternatively of course, you could just have a duff battery that's becoming discharged.

battery power will loose power normally if left standing for some time,it is recommended they be charged up once a month.common drain is the alarm,tv booster,fridge display,radio.if non of these then as said possible your battery is not holding charge.

If you are absolutely sure that everything is turned off then it is probably just normal voltage drop you will get when the battery is left off charge.

Treat yourself to a small solar panel which will keep it topped up when in store.

Do you keep van at home or remove battery to charge at home? Or have access to mains at storage?
Smart charger is good to keep battery healthy when van not in use for periods of time. Most modern integrated chargers in the van won't fully charge a leisure battery and basically 'top-up'.
Brilliant smart charger is the C-Tek MXS5.0, see example here on Amazon. I can recommend highly, mine has successfully reconditioned several 'suspect' batteries that conventional chargers failed to fully charge.

thanks for your help g7acu, i keep the van at home ,im going to get that smart charger and try it on the battery, i bought the battery on line for 80 pounds 110ah , if im not happy with the battery ive to get 2 reports saying the battery is not holding a charge, then ive to send it back dont know if its worth the hastle

hi folks  ive just had the battery checked by a auto electrician,battery is ok , every thing in the van which is run by the battery is ok , now, ive got a strip light in the toilet, which i thought was off ,but in fact was on ,this was a couple of weeks ago, with that being on, he says it could discharge the battery in a couple of days , hope thats my problem fixed ,feel a wee bit  more at ease now ,thankyou to all who tried to help me
