Having extreme difficulty locating replacement fuses for Abbey Stafford (1988)

Can anyone suggest a supplier please?

Glass Fuse - 40mm x 0.5mm      !0A & 5A

Have you tried Maplins?

Are you sure about the physical size? 5mm is a standard size.

Hi Colin - Tried all the obvious, including E Bay, etc.

Local suppliers, Catterick Caravans of no use either, not very helpful at all actually (Washington branch)

Tried next door at the Motorhome accessories at Birtley, more encouraging there (& friendlier!)  They are trying a supplier and getting back to me.

Size is correct by the way, fuses are 40mm from a Panel 2S3H

Could you use ordinary domestic fuse wire and trap it with the old fuse I have done this in the past on cars and motorbikes and it's worked ok I have also drilled the end caps of some fuses and soldered a new piece of fuse wire in place

Have you looked at Radio Spares online? Or Farnell? I have used them in the past. If you are unsuccessful here you could solder in an inline fuse holder for a common physical size to replace the current (excuse the pun) fuse holder. Best of luck.
