Just found my new 110ah battery was as flat as a pancake .
It was fully charged when I went to bed, but had discharged overnight. Why is a a mystery, but it had to be recharged. Tested it with a voltage tester which showed 9.8v which went down rapidly, so it couldn't even sustain a voltage tester!!
Tried charging it with an 8 amp charger, but wouldn't take any charge for more than a minute or two before it decided it was full!!
So the plates had seemingly gone to sleep and wouldn't wake up. So I put a headlamp bulb across the terminals and used what little power was in there. Then recharged it, and it took a bit more, then on with the bulb, then recharging again. It then just recharged normally.
So don't rush off and buy a new battery, try coaxing it back to life first
