hi has anyone used the direct water pipes instead of there pump to keep water topped up do they actualy work heard some have to much pressure and cause leaks in the caravan any one know different thanks
I have a direct connector for my Truma water system and it gives a lower pressure than the pump to the caravan pipework. The danger is if the pressure reducer fails but so far I have never seen it happen, only heard from people who say they know someone it has happened to. I also have an Aquaroll system with a valve but that puts more pressure onto the caravan pipes due to the pressure switch needing a higher pressure than the pressure reg on the direct connection. I did try to design an automatic safety shut off to cut the water supply in the event of a failure of the pressure reg on the hose but gave up as it was too much trouble. Of the two I prefer the direct system but if on a site that I know has a high pressure on the mains taps I use the Aquaroll system just to be on the safe side. I always turn the supply tap off if I go out and leave the caravan unattended.

as above always turn off the supply when your not there.
last week on holiday my pump packed up so i converted it to a temporary direct supply for the last couple of days untill i bought a new pump, the bathroom shower tap connection started to leak, havent tried it with the new pump yet??
