Hi, can anybody tell me how i can reset the alarm system on a 2002 Bailey Pageant Champagne. This is what the problem is,I have just bought this Bailey caravan the previous owner died so I bought it from his son , but he did not know the alarm code,so i need to reset a new one into the system, anybody out their can help me do this. Thanks ralph
When we purchased our Bailey Senator we also needed to change the code, ours is an IDM 4 we spoke the the manufacturer, they said we needed the old code to change it to a new one, and could not help other than getting a new alarm from them.
Replacing the Battery
The IDM alarm uses a re-chargeable lead acid battery, which
should last for many years if charged regularly. Should the
battery need replacement then use the following procedure.
1. Remove the four screws from the end section of the
control box (where wires exit)
2. Tap the box and the battery module should slide free (if
not then gently prise with a flat bade screwdriver)
3. Remove the battery from the mounting plate (it is fixed with
an adhesive pad)
4. Remove the yellow +ve and black –ve cables and attach to
the new battery, take care to re-connect with the correct
polarity.
5. Fix the new battery to the mounting plate with a new
adhesive pad.
6. Slide the module back into position and re-fix the four
screws.
7. Note that the system will now have reset to the
manufacturer settings, Please re-program your entry code
and entry/exit delays as described in the relevant section
of the handbook.Note that the system will now have reset to the manufacturer settings, Please re-program your entry code and entry/exit delays as described in the relevant section of the handbook.
