My caravan is currently being stored in the UK (I am in Norway), but I need to book a ferry crossing, which requires length and height to be stated. After a lot of searching online, I can find no specification for a Sprite Major 5 (1991 model).
Has anyone got this caravan and a tape measure that could help me?
Dont own one but local dealer has one on his website, and it is advertised as 17ft long excluding drawbar, and most caravans are 2.5mtrs high. Hope this helps...
1990 was 20' 6" overall and from memory the 91 models were the same body shell and chassis. I can't remember overall hight but one of the selling points at the time was a greater headroom inside them than most of the competitors so be wary of hight although an inch or so should not make a great difference on most ferries as they have to allow for change of hight due to load in the caravan. Some ferry operators have a height gauge (a long stick with a T piece at the limiting hight for specific vehicle decks) and will load you accordingly.
