Having seen that photo a couple of posts above this one, it suddenly all makes sense to me.

Will be doing this when we unwrap our unit during the next spell of 2 dry days on a weekend!

Job done. took 10 minutes. Cost about a £1 for a piece of batton.

Many thanks for the tip on how to do this diy without paying for the expensive kit!
