whats best to use to clean the inside of the cassette,van had stood in storage for a while befor i bought it,ive had to replace the lip seal in the cassette and the flush tube.inside the cassette looks like it needs a good swill out,i know i cant use bleach so whats good for cleaning it,wont be using van till next spring but want to give it a good clean up

Thetford make a Cassette Tank Cleaner. Might be worth a try.

fenwicks do a tank cleaner,i use milton never had a problem.

I would vote for the Thetford Cassette Tank Cleaner. Leaves a great clean smell.

The Thetford cleaner is the only one that I have found that dissolves the scale inside the tank and it is the scale that harbours the bacteria that tends to cause the tank to smell when not in use. Milton sterilises the tank ok but it doesn't shift the scale and I had little success with the Fenwicks one either. No idea what is in the Thetford stuff but it works so well that the tank looks like new inside. I use it a couple of times a year (about every 60 - 80 nights of caravan use) so it doesn't work out expensive.
