Howdy folks,  I'm busy revamping a Compass Pentara tourer.  When looking under the ignition knob on the hob there is nothing there except the lower spring. I guess it must hold a AA battery, but what goes on top?

Never having seen one of these ignition systems before I was wondering if anyone could point me towards a drawing of the hob, so I can get an idea of what it looks like when complete?

I assume all early 90s spinflo hobs with the ignitor are similar?

Thank you for your reply.   I'm afraid its nothing like that one.  The hob knob which is the igniter, is the same shape as the other knobs, but, it is a different colour to the rest, and has the legend 'press here' and an arrow stamped on it in red.  To change the AA battery under the knob you simply prise off the knob, replace the battery, and then refit the knob. My problem is I think something is missing from underneath the knob.
