we have just bought a new leisure battery for our bailey pageant vendee 2006 model and when we put the master switch on the voltage shows as it should, however we are unsure how to get the 12v lights working off the battery. when we switch the master switch to zero nothing works. is there something we are not doing correctly as we have only had the van a few days so we are still learning about it, any advice greatly appreciated,
we have a 2003 bailey 500/5 with the same set up.the switch next to the door for the lights is left on full time.the 12 volt switch controls all the 12 volt services not just the lights.ie.pump / 12v tv / lights / gas water heater ignition ect.if not on EHU the battery can go flat from full in no time.if battery is full without EHU connected you can look at the meter and it will show 12.7 volts.when EHU is connected you see the meter go from 12.7 volts to 13.5 / 14 volts.a good indication because you know the charger is working as it should.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
